Nest TV: Getting Into Screenwriting

Nest Space is the coolest co-working spot for creatives in the Bournemouth area. I’ve been using one of their desks since they launched in September 2013 (part-time, just to dip my toe in the water) but have loved it so much, I’m now a full-time member. The guys who run it are a fun and proactive bunch, with lots of ideas on how to support and expand a creative network. To this end, they’ve just opened up their network for people to join online, so you – yes, you! – can be part of the Nest network wherever you are in the country (heck, even the world!).

An exciting part of their new network is Nest TV where, every month, industry professionals discuss their creative processes and business tips. I’m delighted to say that I’m helping launch Nest TV with my ‘Getting Into Screenwriting’ series, where you can glean all my top tips about how to get ahead in the biz. Check out the preview below, and take a look at Nest’s virtual network here to get all the info.

In other Bournemouth-centric news, Creative England is coming to town on 2nd June to talk about how they can help with film funding and support. Celine Haddad is the exec in charge, leading the discussion. I used to script read for Celine when she was at Pathe. She’s great – passionate and smart – so it’s an event not to be missed, and it’s free. Full details & how to book your ticket here.
