It’s been another exciting year for the Red Planet Prize. The competition has been running since 2007. Led by the mighty Tony Jordan and his team (I had a hand in its inception, and act as a reader/judge), the Prize has been an exciting launchpad for new TV writers, and offers ongoing mentoring/support to shortlisted writers. Previous finalist Robert Thorogood created the BBC One smash hit series Death in Paradise, now starring Kris Marshall and produced by Red Planet Pictures, which returns to BBC One for a sixth series next year.
